FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions about NewMD.

NewMD Membership
Do you accept insurance?

No, we don’t accept or bill any insurance company.

Do I still need insurance?

The short answer is yes. We are glad to enroll patients who do not have insurance, but we still advise you get at least a high-deductible “catastrophic plan” to cover un-anticipated costly medical emergencies.

What does my membership cover?

Your monthly fee covers access to your doctor via telehealth, phone and email, annual wellness exams, management of chronic conditions, acute illnesses, sports physicals, virtual visits, in-house labs, minor procedures, and all other services listed on our services page.

What's not included in a membership?

Hospitalization, outside labs, images, and special procedures.

Is there a limit on how many members can join NewMD?

Yes. Unlike traditional practices that take on as many patients as possible, our provider-to-patient ratio is limited. This allows for longer appointment times, individualized attention, and increased quality of care.

Can I be seen without joining NewMD?

Yes, contact the clinic to schedule an appointment and to hear more about special pricing.

This seems to good to be true. Is there a catch?

No. This is the real thing. Quality healthcare, the way you want it. Cutting out the middle-man (insurance companies) and keeping payment directly between the patient and the doctor keeps the price drastically lower.
